Duxbury Age and Dementia Friendly Task Force

The Task Force will consist of 10 members for a term of one (1) year.  The Selectboard established this Task Force at their June 26, 2023 meeting.

The Task Force mission is as follows:

The purpose of this Task Force is to take the findings of the Age and Dementia Friendly Survey that was distributed in the Fall of 2022 by the COA to ascertain what residents today and, in the future, want to make Duxbury livable for all.

Survey results indicated four domains to research and develop an action plan. They are: Housing, Transportation, Mental Health, and Community.

This Task Force will work with Department heads, local experts and community members to research each topic and will work with Joanne Zygmunt, Senior Planner from Old Colony Planning to craft a draft plan that will be shared with the Selectboard, Town Manager and the community at large.
