Helping Massachusetts pets & the people who love them since 1992.
Finn is a rambunctious and friendly adolescent who is anxious for an active home! He is a very big lab, approximately 85 lbs (he could stand to lose a few!).
Finn needs an owner who will give him the training, time and patience he needs...he is anxious to learn and to please.
Each year, our shelter finds homes for an average of 500+ animals and reunites dozens of lost pets with their grateful owners. Our pets come from every corner of the state and stay with us as long as they need. We do not-- and have never -- euthanized for length of stay or shelter space.
Helping animals means helping the people who love them, too. We offer free pet food & supplies to anyone facing need via our Community Cupboard at SAS (stop by during our open hours), as well as ongoing low cost neuters and veterinary care for community pet owners. Feral cats are among the most vulnerable animals of our region. We assist community feral cat volunteers & have a long history of trapping, neutering, & releasing (TNR) feral adults to allow them to live out their lives more healthfully, without producing litters of homeless kittens. Any kittens are adopted, generally in pairs.
